Powering Pulau Ubin
The existing microgrid in Pulau Ubin has been supplying power to the island for the past 7 years since its commissioning on 10 Oct 2013. The main generation sources are Diesel Gen-Sets, Photo-Voltaic (PV) System and Energy Storage System (ESS). Over the years, the microgrid experienced serious degradation such as reduction of energy storage capacity by more than 50%.

Currently, diesel generators on the island are supplying for the energy demand of the entire island. The generators are consuming approximately 4,000 litres of diesel in 2 weeks. As part of the government's goal of decarbonization, more renewable energy such as solar should be introduced to the microgrid to reduce diesel consumption.
Solar panels generate power which is then stored in VFlowTech Batteries.
ENERGY from VFlowTech Batteries then power the Visitor Centre as needed.

Ubin
Using our batteries, solar power is stored and able to provide 50 kW for a full 24 hours. In addtion, we also provided the intellignet EMS to manage supply and demand.
